Reading Revelation 13:8-12 (RR38)

The beast. The monster. In contrast to the Lamb.  And then an imposter lamb arises. Yet speaks like dragon. Empire and economy and worldly power are very tempting. Tempting to grasp at a short-term grab. Yet the prophet John urges us to take an apocalyptic view: reveal! Unmask! See the beast for what the beast truly is. Ultimately that's not the path of life.  Rather our loyalties are to Jesus. The journey thru Revelation 13 continues.
